Winona-Ryder

Winona Ryder (born Winona Laura Hornowitz) was born in Winona Minnesota. The parents named her Winona for her hometown. Her father Michel Horowitz, and mother Cynthia Palmer are authors and editors. Ryder's father was from the Jewish family Ryder believes she is Jewish. Ryder also has a half-sister, Sunyata Jubal. Ryder's younger sister is Uria. At the age of seven, Ryder was only seven her family moved into Mendocino County California. The family lived in a place without electric power. Ryder was a voracious reading book because there was no television. Ryder began taking acting lessons in the American Conservatory Theatre in 1983, when she was 12. In 1986 she was offered her first major-screen appearance in the film Lucas she was only 15 years old. Ryder suffered from bullying throughout highschool. She thought that by becoming an actor her behaviour was going to be corrected. But, unfortunately, that didn't occur. Still, she pursued her goal. It was 1988 when Tim Burton released Beetlejuice that was her breakthrough. Ryder was later cast in successful roles. He was nominated for two Academy Awards were nominated, one for The Age of Innocence (1996).
